Robocat, the sushi dispenser now for sale

Remember the prize we had from the On Nom Hunt, back in March? We finally decided to put it up for sale, so if you couldn’t get it when the hunt was taking place, now you can buy it for 50L.

This cute dispenser gives out yummy sushi. You can rezz it in your land so that people can click on it to get the sushi.
Once rezzed you just have to click on it, then you will hear a music and you will get a menu with 6 different kinds of sushi, choose the one you like and enjoy it!

If you don’t select any sushi or don’t accept it, the cat will reset itself after 30 seconds, and the door on its tummy will close.

These are the different kinds of sushi you can get:

– tamago: made by rolling together several layers of cooked egg bound to the rice with a thin strip of nori.
– tekka-maki: a small cylindrical piece, with the nori on the outside, filled with rice and raw tuna.
– toro: made with the most valued sushi ingredient, the fatty cut of the fish (tuna in this case) and draped over rice.
– ebi: shrimp draped over rice.
– ikura: salmon roe on a rice base and wrapped with nori.
– kappa-maki: cylindrical piece, with the nori on the outside, filled with rice and cucumber.

So if you want to have a cute sushi dispenser, come and get the Robocat at the main shop or at Boxed Heroes in Jormundgandr!

VERY IMPORTANT!!!:

While the group gifts are available (they will be at the shop for a week, until Saturday 20th March), the group will have a joining fee of 250L. After this time, the avatars will be for sale for 500L each.

So if you’re not part of the group but you like them, you can join the group and get both avatars with a great discount:  the two avies just for 250L (the joining fee).

Please, don’t IM asking us to change this, complaining or claiming you didn’t notice the fee. The group gifts are limited, so please, don’t ask them once they’re retired and placed for sale, even if you lost them. We won’t make any exceptions. Period.

The previous comments can sound bitchy, but seriously, we’re fed up with certain situations.

It’s been a long time since we opened Boxed Heroes (August 2007) and lots of things have happened during all this time. We would like to thank our group members for their support through all these years with a couple of avatars. This is the first “big” group gift we make, and it won’t be the last one 😉

S.I.P.H. aka Sometimes I Play Human is an android with a little beating heart that should be handled with care. The avatar pieces are dirty and rusty and oil tears run down their faces. They come in five colour versions: dark blue, light blue, fuchsia, green and orange. The avatars are copy/modify/no transfer. We recommend you to keep a copy of the avatars boxed.

The avatar is made to be used with the new 2.0 viewer, because although it has a terrible user interface, it has a great thing (probably the only one?) long time expected: alpha layers that allow to make invisible parts without the need of using the invisibility prims. We understand that most of you don’t want to use the beta version yet, but it seems that sooner or later, the new SL 2.0 will be required. So although you can’t use the avatar in the current 1.23 version (you won’t be able to wear the alpha layers and the avatar shape will show), come to the shop to get the group gifts and keep them for future use 😀

Inside the avatar boxes you will find an updater. You must keep it to get future updates of the avies. You just have to rezz the updater on the ground. It will contact the server to check for updates and if there’s any, you will automatically receive it. If we make any update of the avatar we will send a notice through the group. You will get it once you rezz the updater, but if there’s no update available it won’t do anything. Be careful not to delete it!

So, how can you get the group gifts? Activate the group tag and go to Boxed Heroes main shop. Near the freebie section you will see the vendors of the SIPH avatars. Left click on them and you will get them. That’s all.

The Om Nom Hunt

Today The On Nom Hunt has started and we’re participating!

This grid-wide hunt starts today and ends on March 30th. You have to look for cheeseburgers filled with food-themed goodness. If you want to do the whole hunt you have to teleport to the starting point at the OmNomHunt HQ. There you will find the first cheeseburguer, buy it for 0L and you will get a folder with the prize and the landmark for the next location. If I’m right, there should be about 32 stores in this hunt.

And what will you get if you find the cheeseburguer at Boxed Heroes? A cute cat robot that dispenses sushi, fully sculpted, animated and with sounds.

Once you rezz the Robocat on the ground, click on its tummy.

Then a music will start, the door will open and three trays with six different kinds of sushi will slide out.

Each kind of sushi has a small sign with its name. Then you will get a blue menu so that you can choose the one you want.

Once you click, the trays will slide in, the door will close, you will get your sushi and the cat will say “Itadakimasu”‘. It’s a Japanese custom to say before eating which means “Thank you for this meal”. You can wear the sushi, that will attach to your mouth.

Mota, the tiny pug & Margo Imako

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The event has been extended, so it will run during the whole week, ending on Sunday, Feb 28th at 7:00 pm.

If you’re a female avatar and like steampunk style, you probably know Steambound shop. But if you aren’t into steampunk, maybe you know this shop because of the generosity of its owner, Margo Imako, who often gives away many of her creations in Midnight Manias, hunts and so. At Steambound you can find awesome corsets, gowns and other costumes. Mostly Victorian, Steampunk, and Gothic styles.

And why am I talking about Steambound?

Margo Imako  was diagnosed with Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Appendix and had an initial surgery to debulk tumors in September. She will be having another MOAS (Mother of All Surgeries)  at the end of February but its very expensive. Margo just recently turned 40 years old and has three small children and a husband (SL’s Maastrichian Aeon) at home. The surgery is a must have for her.

That’s the reason for the Montana Gold Rush event, in which we’re taking part.

The benefit will kick off February 19th 2010, at 5:00 pm SL time opening with a concert by the SL Def Leppard . The event will run through the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, February 20th and 21st) with live DJ’s around the clock. On the evening of February 21st, we will wrap it up with another concert.

There will be multiple shopping booths with limited and exclusive creations available just in this event.

And we made something very special for this event, and it is special for two reasons: it’s our FIRST TINY AVATAR available for sale and it’s named after our brother’s pet, Mota, a crazy but cute pug. Mota, the tiny pug will only be available at the Montana Gold Rush event, so if you like it, you can’t miss our first and exclusive tiny for 300L. All proceeds of this item will go to help Margo Imako, and that’s the best reason to get it 🙂

Mota has two different heads: one panting head and ne scripted head with 7 different emotes: angry, smiling, sad, normal, open mouth, and two with the tongue hanging out from its mouth. To change the expression you have to click on the head and you will get a menu so that you can choose the one you want. It also has a panting sound that can be turned off and on clicking on Mota’s body.

*Some of the armour parts (helmet,  right forearm and left forearm) had to be changed to no mod because of a script we used. However, it also includes a box with these items with modify perms but unscripted.

Includes: Armour (removable mask using chat command), missile launcher and forearm guns (not scripted), shooting fx jets, flight assistant, scripted hands (relaxed and fist positions), walking sound and skin (partial skin, it just has the face and hood matching the clothes painted on it. Probably it will be an update for SL 2.0).

As well as the dark elf armour, the prim parts of the costume are sculpted. The textures are of black carved leather, highly detailed.

There are several options for the hair and mask. You have one mask that is linked with the prim hair, but for those that don’t want to use either the mask or the hair we have included them as separated items.

The gorgeous corset has lots of straps, some covering the breasts and three more at the back, all of them linked to the collar piece.

The skirt has a leather belt with silver buttons. The cloth pieces have a spider decoration and they’re black outside and red inside.

The boots and bracers have the same carvings than the other pieces of the costume.

The costume also include some textured clothes: spider pasties, black panties and a cincher. The texture of this cincher is the same as the sculpted corset. The dark elf skin is based in the awesome Starlight skins by Eloh Eliot. Thanks for sharing!

The black carved leather armour is fully sculpted. It has metallic studs and buttons, as well as some straps. It’s a highly detailed armour.

You can have different looks: you can use the cowl (it looks better if don’t use the hair and mask with it) or the prim mask. In this pic you can see the nose piercing, linked to the ear.

Scimitars detail. As mentioned above, they are unscripted. You can add your own scripts, as they are modifiable.

These are the clothes under the armour. They just have some wrinkles painted and buttons on the pants.
